素直なまま- 中岛美嘉 |

Just posting two of Mika Nakashima's New PVs. I think they are going to be in her new album [YES] which will be released in Japan on March 14, 2007. Enjoy!~
These two are quite okay. I pretty much enjoyed it. However, I do have to admit to the fact that her songs for NANA2 are very disappointing. I should say that they sort of sucked. Sorry, but that's just how I feel.

MY WAY-NANA starring Mika Nakashima |
] |
Cute, Cool and Beautiful is how I would describe Japan's famous collectible, Be@rbrick. It is not just some toy. It is more like a series of items which can really drive someone crazy! Be@rbrick's company often collaborate with modern artists, movie producers, designers to produce ultra rare Be@rbricks! For example, Nike, SAW, Chanel, .......etc. This sure explains the high expenses on Be@rbrick.
I can say that Be@rbrick is very adorable indeed! The other day I bought one of the boxes for Series 13 and got a Rei (From Evangelion) Be@rbrick! Despite its "inuniqueness(it's fairly easy to get)", I still liked it very much. I guess the otaku in me didn't mind at all. In fact, it was great and I pretty much enjoyed it.
Today, again I went into that very same shop again wanting to buy another box and guess what?I did. Also, the shop staff talked me into buying a limited edition Be@rbrick which costs $11.95!!! Guess I'm easily persuaded and prone to temptation! Lol. However, I do feel a little uneasy and bad for spending so much of my parents' money.
Oh, well, we'll see whether or not does my senseless greed for Be@rbrick continues........
The following are the be@rbricks I got. They are approximately 7cm tall.

| English Essay-Journal Entry |

Just some essay I wrote for Mr. Zach's English class. It was supposed to be a journal entry. Decided to write about death. By the way, the movie which will be stated is "Rurouni Kenshin". The one made in year 2001. Don't know how to spell the remaining of the title. Lolz.
On the other day, I watched a movie about the life of an old patriot, which ended with sorrow and some tears. And yet, there seems to be a slight happiness when the old patriot died. Both he and his wife seemed to be quite relieved when death came along as he finally got to rest after numerous years of war and strife. Maybe to them, death meant eternal peace and happiness.
This made me think of death.
Death is usually something people feared of. We have heard from many myths and legends of people who tried many ways to stay alive as long as they can. They make deals with the devils, kill people and sacrifice others’ lives for the sake of their own ones. Cruel, yet this occurs quite frequently in both reality and fantasy.
Death can also be something very tempting. We humans are creatures with weak minds. Death can easily seduce us and people with even weaker minds would easily be the prey of death. Sometimes, when one’s spirits and emotions are down, the first thing they seek is death. It feels as though death is seducing our minds, telling us to draw ourselves in. Almost everyday, people commit suicide to somehow end their problems.
However, does death really mean eternal happiness?
In the bible, it is stated that if one commits himself to God, he would go to heaven, a land of eternal happiness, a land where they can meet their beloved God.
Reading that part of the bible makes death even more tempting.
But, it is said that if one commits the seven deadly sins: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed and Sloth, he will be sent to hell. And, in hell, he would be broken on wheels, put into freezing water or snake pits and other terrifying things would be done on him.
If so, does that mean nobody on this world would be able to get to heaven? Everyone on Earth, I suppose, has committed all seven sins. Unless one is a saint or God, it is impossible for one to not commit any of these sins.
Does this mean that we will all still see each other in hell?
No wonder so many people want immortality, because of their fear towards death. People who committed suicide, to me, are just idiots. They never thought of the consequences which would be accepted by both their loved ones and themselves.
Or, maybe lour lives are just games played by people from the other side of the universe. Maybe we are nothing else other than a video game. After we die, the game ends and we will be deleted from the program. This may sound ridiculous, but it is possible. William Shakespeare did thought of this in the past and it was written in Mac Beth.
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more: it is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.
Well, I can’t really say much about our lives and what will happen after our death.
See you in heaven or hell. Or, maybe, farewell and we shall not meet again.

| Seta Soujiro Fanart |
[02 Sep 2006|05:32pm] |
Went through some image galleries the other day and found a fine piece of Seta Soujiro picture in Black and White. Decided to put in some colours for the picture. Couldn't find any bigger ones, so, it's quite small.
If anyone knows which doujinshi (and by which artist) is this lineart from, please tell me. Thanks.

| Tokyo Drift : Teriyaki Boyz |
[01 Sep 2006|07:59am] |
The theme song for The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. The movie was out during May, I guess but I only got to listen to the soundtrack during late June.
I dont't know why, but I like this song.
The Music Video takes scenes here and there from the movie. Personally, I like the scenes. I don't know why, it feels illegal? and somehow wild. People dancing around with new designs and all.
Maybe I really like illegal things but not really in reality. Ahhh!!!! Don't know how to discribe it. I like Hong Kong movies which involves lots of gangsters and fights, so what? It's not like I support murder cases or something.....
Anyway, back to the subject. The soundtrack has some songs which I enjoyed. Here's the list:
Six Days The Remix - DJ Shadow Feat. Mos Def She Wants To Move - N.E.R.D. Conteo - Don Omar

| Ouran High School Host Club Volume 8 |
[01 Sep 2006|07:58am] |
I bought the 8th Volume of Ouran High School Manga during July in Taiwan.
If you can read Chinese, Taiwan is a great place to buy mangas. The reason is, some shops in Taiwan gives you plastic covers for your mangas to make sure they are always in good condition. They are not that expensive also, if compared to US and Canada. Usually NT$85, convert the Taiwanese Dollar to any current you like. Other than that, the printing quality is good and most importantly, they release the mangas fast (Not faster than Japan, but almost as fast).
By the way, Ouran is a good manga and the bishis are hot. Love Tamaki and Kaoru!
Volume 8 contains Chapter 32 till 36. A little ultra short summary for each chapter.
Chapter 32: Class 1-A is having a class activity where students of different groups try to help each other. This chapter mainly focuses on Hikaru, Kaoru and Haruhi.
Chapter 33: Flashback of the past when Tamaki just entered Ouran. Focus on Tamaki and Kyoya.
Chapter 34: Some scary looking guy nicknamed Bossa Nova (blame the twins for the nick) wanted to be a student of Mori's. Ultra funny.
Chapter 35: Continuing Chapter 34. Bossa Nova seems to have a different side. Nothing much here, cept the end.
Chapter 36: Tamaki's brain got totally blank because Bossa Nova *****SPOILERS, Not telling on this one*******. Tamaki looks very cute when he's being stupid!
Well, that's about it. I just read Chapter 42 yesterday. Hope to see more.

[31 Aug 2006|08:30am] |
This song, "rose" is a song by Anna Tsuchiya. Inspired by NANA (Blackstones), this song has obvious J-Rock properties. I really like the Music Video and melody. Hope anyone here would like it too!
